Ella M. Bolden Brown will be inducted into the Missouri Nursing Hall of Fame on Saturday, April 8. The induction ceremony will be held at the Forest Park Golf Pavilion. Brown’s award-winning career began at Homer G. Phillips Hospital. She completed nursing school in 1974 and worked part-time as a nursing assistant while obtaining a bachelor’s of science in nursing at Saint Louis University. She later obtained a master’s in health services form Webster University and completed a second graduate nursing program at the University of Chicago where she obtained a certificate in pediatric nursing. Brown was honored in 2005 with the Salute to Excellence in Health Care Lifetime Achiever Award.
