The first Building a Healthier St. Louis Summit will be held Tuesday, April 25 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Millennium Hotel, 200 S. 4th Street. Hosting the Summit is the St. Louis Regional Health Commission, a group of Missouri, St. Louis City and County government officials, community leaders and health care providers responsible for developing long-term solutions to increase health care access, reduce health disparities and improve health outcomes for the region’s uninsured and underinsured.
A keynote address will be provided by former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Tommy Thompson. One primary focus of the Summit is to improve health literacy.
