United Way of Greater St. Louis is offering one-time grants to non-profit 501(c)3 organizations within select communities. The grants are tailored to four specific issues (Crystal Methamphetamine, Youth Health and Wellness, and Youth Summer Programs and Elderly) within the Missouri counties of: Jefferson; St. Charles; Lincoln; Warren; St. Louis; and St. Louis City and the Illinois counties of: Clinton; Monroe; Randolph; and St. Clair.
United Way of Greater St. Louis’ Community Investment Committee has set aside $200,000 for 2006 to provide these grants which are designed to fund new and emerging issues. Another round of grants for other issues will be available in June.
The Community Investment Division will bring in a total of 80-100 volunteers within each of the counties to review each of the applications. The qualifying grants will be announced in May.
