A $5,000 reward has been posted for information leading to arrest and conviction of anyone involved with the fatal shooting of Edward Bibb, who was shot to death on December 21, 2005, as he drove in a car near Skinker and Wydown Boulevards in St. Louis.

Anyone with information about the incident or about an older-model, gold Ford Taurus, possibly with a rear spoiler on the trunk, is asked to call the homicide division of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department at (314) 444-5371.

Bibb, age 66, a resident of Shrewsbury, was working as a courier and was driving south on Skinker Boulevard near Forest Park when his vehicle hit a parked car. Police at first thought he had been killed in the crash, but a small-caliber bullet wound was found in his forehead during an autopsy on December 22.

Witnesses at the crash scene reported hearing gunshots and that a gold-colored Ford Taurus was driving parallel to Bibb’s vehicle at the time shots reportedly were fired.

The $5,000 reward has been posted by friends of Mr. Bibb who wish to be anonymous.
