The City of Dellwood has officially named Kenneth Robinson as its interim mayor following the death of Mayor Reggie Jones.

Robinson was announced as interim mayor on Aug. 24 and immediately assumed the responsibilities of the office after Jones died unexpectedly on Aug. 21.

Under Dellwood’s city charter and municipal ordinances, Robinson automatically became interim mayor in his role as president of the Board of Aldermen, ensuring city services, public safety and administrative operations continue without interruption.

Robinson has served on the Dellwood Board of Aldermen since April 25, 2016, representing Ward II, and currently serves as board president.

The City Council is scheduled to meet Sept. 28 to select a permanent replacement for Jones.
