Lincoln University recently held a workshop for St. Louis-area urban growers on protecting crops while reducing their reliance on synthetic insecticides.

Led by Dr. Anitha Chitturi, an assistant professor and extension specialist, the workshop covered pest management techniques designed to protect crops, people and the environment.

The training followed a request from City Blossoms, an organization that provides urban farming and gardening resources in the St. Louis area.
