With the city’s northside and other areas still reeling from a possible tornado that killed five people, left at least 39 injured, and shredded neighborhoods, the Annie Malone May Day Parade scheduled for Sunday May 18, 2025, has been postponed.

10th Ward Alderwoman  Shameem Clark Hubbard confirmed following a press conference at Kingshighway and Delmar that the parade, the organizations largest fundraiser, would at least be delayed.

“We can’t pull those resources. We must focus on getting help to the people who need it. We must have those resources on the ground,” she said.

Hubbard said “we lost two lives” in the 10th Wad.

“O’Fallon Park, Fairground Park, Ivory Perry Park – just devastated.”

After announcing in early February that the parade would not be held because of financial concerns, it was announced that it would take place.

Again, the parade is on hold as St. Louis delas with the unprecedented storm.
