A homicide was reported at 11:07 p.m. Monday and involved the shooting of a man in the 5400 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive, near Semple Avenue.
Police identified the victim as Carl Hodge, 49, of the 1600 block of Arlington Avenue. They said Hodge had been shot three times.
Witnesses told police that another man had stepped out of a pickup and begun shooting, then had driven off.
Police have a description of the truck and were looking for it this morning.

Teen boy slain in South City
In the early morning hours, police responded to a call that a 15-year-old boy had been shot several times in an alley in the 3200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
Witnesses heard at least five shots.
The teenage victim has been identified by police as Alphonso McCloud of the 5100 block of Minnesota Avenue.
