Charges have been filed related to the disappearance and death of Monica Sykes.
Ray Ellis, 27, has charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action and tampering with physical evidence. Ellis is reported to be the ex-boyfriend of Monica Sykes.
Sykes, 25, went missing on October 28 in Berkeley. Authorities confirmed on March 28 that human remains found in Kinloch on Feb. 4 were positively identified as Sykes. A cause of death has not been released.
Ellis is being held on a $1M cash-only bond.
