Mrs. Eunice Marie (nee Carter) Watson departed this life September 22, 2005 in University City. A distinguished educator for many years in the St. Louis Public Schools, she returned to the classroom (Sumner High School) after retirement because of the teacher shortage. Working with children was her joy. She always felt she could make a difference in molding the lives of young people. Mrs. Watson leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Cheryl Jackson; stepchildren, Adrian, Pennie and Suann; grandchildren, Alana and David; sister, Catherine Wysinger; and brothers, Ronnie (Irma) White and Reggie White.
A visitation was held Wednesday, September 28 from 10-11:30 a.m. at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 1260 Hamilton. The funeral service followed at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Alvin Smith officiating. Burial in National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks.
