Flora McLendon was born on October 25, 1919 in Okolona, Mississippi to Carrie Mae and Henry Harvey. Her parents and three brothers preceded her in death.
McLendon professed a hope in Christ at an early age when she joined Snow Town Baptist Church in Okolona, Mississippi.
Flora was united in holy martimony to James McLendon who preceded her in death last year after 71 years of marriage. They shared the joy of parenting nine children; June, Hurlen, Betty, Dorothy, Earl, Marguerite, Debra, Gloria and Reginald.
She leaves to cherish her memory nine children, 31 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren; one sister, Tina Burdine; one brother, Henry Lee Harvey; three nieces, three nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
