Gerald Navon Robinson was born to Hallie and Ardella Robinson on October 7, 1952 in St. Louis. Gerald was a graduate of Work Study High School where he took up cooking. Gerald accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Eld. RA Bishop and became a member of the Christ Community Temple Church of God in Christ. He sang in a group called the Blue Angels.

On Aprl 15, 1972, Gerald married Delores Pittman. In 1974, Gerald renewed his life to Christ and became a member of Mercy Seat Baptist Church, where he served until his health failed. To this union, one daughter was born, Elizabeth Ardella Robinson.

Gerald leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Mrs. Delored Robinson, his daughter Elizabeth Ardella Robinson, grandson Jeremiah Robinson, four sisters: Bobbie Jean Beard (Robert), Regina Brown, Missionary Nancy Brown (Ronald) and Sheila Hammond (Theodore), one brother: Hallie Robinson, Jr., four sisters-in-law: Pauline Walker, Patricia Akers, Charlene Pittman and Michelle Robinson, three brothers-in-law: Charles Pittman, Michael Pittman and Edward Akins, a godson: George Roberson, three special cousins: Dolly Banks, Vennie Bates and Michael Hampton, friends at JD Street, Zelphia Robinson-Otis, Doris Robinson, Denise Nixon, Brian and Wendy Simpson, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
