Amerilys L. Bowden passed away on February 4, 2024, at 90 years of age. Prior to her retirement, she was the first African American to serve as Manager of a Missouri Employment Security office. Her husband, James, predeceased her in 2009. She leaves behind daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, two living sisters and a host of nieces and nephews. They will all cherish her memory with love and affection.
