Que Prince (Paul) Purnell, the ever-stalwart rock of his family, passed away in the early
afternoon of Monday, April 7, 2025, just four days after his beloved wife of more than 60
years, Betty Jean (Hayman) Purnell passed away on April 3, 2025, both at the age of
87.
They are survived by their children Alvin (Barbara) Purnell, Apryl (Tom) Tilert, and Jason
Purnell, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many relatives and friends.
They now rest together in the Everlasting Arms.
There will be a joint visitation for Betty and Que Purnell on Monday, April 14, 2025, at
9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 10:45 a.m., both at Incarnate Word Catholic
Church, 13416 Olive Blvd., Chesterfield, MO, 63017. Interment will be at Jefferson
Barracks National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be provided by Austin
Layne Mortuary.
