Donald Edward Getter, Jr. entered into rest on Friday, January 19, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Shirline Getter; sons, Darryl Getter and Derrick Getter (Yolanda); three grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Donald was employed for 40 years with the United States Postal Service. He served two years with the United States Army.
Services: The family is served by Austin Layne Mortuary. The visitation will be Friday, January 26, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., at New Cote Brilliante Church of God (6195 Washington Blvd., St. Louis, MO). The funeral service will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. with interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations payable to the Department of Veterans Affairs, 915 N. Grand Blvd., St Louis, MO 63106. (Attention: Voluntary Service Department.
