Janet Robinson Bosley passed peacefully on February 2, 2024 at the age of 93 surrounded by her loving family. She was the youngest of 3 children born to Lillie and Roscoe Robinson Sr. Janet was educated in the St Louis Public School System graduating from THE Sumner High School in 1946. She went on to Stowe Teachers College obtaining her B.A. degree and later received a Masters in Education plus 42 degree from the University of Illinois. In 1948, Janet became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. holding various offices and serving tirelessly on many committees for over 75 years. She was an educator with St Louis Public Schools for 43 years until retirement. Janet was the widow of Preston R. Bosley, the love of her life for almost 67 years of marriage. She was the beloved mother of Preston Errol and Cynthia Bosley Head. She was adored by her 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Services will be Friday, February 23, 2024 at New Horizons United Methodist Church (formerly Samaritan); 4234 Washington Blvd; St Louis, MO 63108. Visitation begins at 9a. Alpha Kappa Alpha’s Ivy Beyond The Wall Ceremony is at 10:30a and the funeral is at 11a. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetary.
