Robert Floyd Barnes, Sr. was born in Plantersville, Mississippi. He departed this life on Saturday, January 11, 2025 after a lengthy illness.
In 1961, he graduated from Soldan High School and immediately entered the United States Navy. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he met and subsequently married Diana Crockett Barnes in 1965. To this union, three children were born: Robert Floyd Barnes, Jr., Leslie Barnes Walker and Gregory Barnes.
Robert worked at the McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Corporation from 1963 until his retirement in 1996. He will be greatly missed and his memory will be forever cherished.
A good man, and great neighbor.
