Mrs. Climmer Lee Clay-Bullock was born in Greenwood, Mississippi on November 25, 1923. She was the only child born to Rev. Henderson Clay and Sallie (Davis) Clay. Sadly, both parents, two husbands and one son preceded her in death.

She received her formal education at the public schools in Mississippi and Tennessee. Professing faith and accepting Christ as Lord and Master, she was united with member of the Missionary Baptist Church, Dyersburg, Tennessee.

In 1941 she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Clinton Berry, and in 1946 the had their first child, Ira Lee Berry, who have both preceded her in death. In 1974 she married Mr. Dudley Bullock who she enjoyed many happy years with, before he preceded her in death.

She united with the Memorial M.B. Church on July 6, 1975, under the pastorate of Rev. Seanes Boyce, Jr. She spent 30 years in the employ of City of Saint Louis and retired in 1988. She was a dedicated and conscientious employee, and a recipient of numerous service awards.

She was a member of ACORN. The Greater Ville Neighborhood Organization, and founding member of the 26th Ward and 4th Ward Democratic Organization. She was formerly the Supervisor of the Health Unit for 15 years, President of District 3 and Chairman of Publicity Committee. She was a faithful member and enjoyed helping people dearly.

She leaves her loving and devoted children: two daughters, Brenda Berry-Simpson and Sally (Charles) Austin; four sons, John Berry, Henderson Berry, Curtis Berry, and Kenneth Berry; one sister Lottie Mae Wilson (Memphis, TN); a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and the Memorial M.B. Church family.
