All He Did
by Lionel Phillips
All he did was live a simple but fulfilling life.
All he did was be there for everyone around him.
All he did was love his wife, his children
and spoil all his grandkids.
All he did was see eight of his nine kids go to
college and the ninth live many years past what was
promised.
All he did was make you feel very special.
All he did was give until it hurt sometimes.
All he did was forgive and forget a little too often.
All he did was provide profound words of wisdom
that could be understood by all.
All he did was set a solid example for how real
men took care of their families.
All he did was the best that he could.
And for that, we loved and will miss him.
Daddy, ten years has passed and you are forever in our hearts.
From your loving wife, Mary Jane,
and your children – Benjamin Sr., JoAnn, Lionel,
Gail, Rodney, Jerome, Paulette and Michelle
