A certain hard-working African American in the tiring field of photojournalism likes to trot out an anecdote about the time Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder asked him what it would take for him to get his picture in the American. In fact, Kinder gets his mug in from time to time, including in last week’s Salute coverage, if only because when you do invite him the dude does show up (and stay). This gives the EYE an opportunity to notice how few media events featuring Gov. Matt Blunt’s photo ops appear in the Black Press. This could indeed be a message to the political party planners of the world: Grinning and grabbing with the boy governor could be hazardous to coverage. Unless, of course, he reverses his disastrous policies.
