St. Louis County has sued the regional tourism board, seeking to force it to seat two appointees of County Executive Sam Page.
The lawsuit, filed Tuesday, asks a judge to declare former Explore St. Louis President Kitty Ratcliffe and former County Councilwoman Rochelle Walton Gray legally entitled to serve on the St. Louis Regional Convention and Visitors Commission.
The commission rejected their appointments, citing discrepancies involving the timing of Walton Gray’s appointment and the length of Ratcliffe’s term.
The county contends the commission exceeded its authority by refusing to seat them.
