This is not a story this is a testimony unto God and to the people who don’t believe in miracles.

I had so many trials of my faith to where there were times that I was doubtful about my belief in God. I was in despair because of the things that I was going through until my faith was wavering. I had one bad situation after another and my question to God was, “Why Me?”

Why do I keep going through? Can anything worst happen? Lord, I’m trying but things just not working in my favor.

True enough, it did get worst. On April 28, 2011, I received a phone call on my job that my son Chaise was taken by ambulance to Children’s Hospital because he had choked.  I was in a panic mode. I didn’t know the seriousness of my child’s condition.

En route to the hospital I tried calling Chaise’s babysitter to see what had happened but her phone kept going to voicemail. When I made it to the hospital Chaise was their in the emergency room, as I entered the room where Chaise was at, he was lying there lifeless.  My baby had died.

I had never felt that type of lifeless pain and hurt before in my whole life. I could’ve had died with him. I was asked is there anyone; you would like us to call? Do you want us to call the Chaplain?

Fifteen minutes had went by and the doctor came in and said we have a pulse, we’re about to take him up to PICU and when we’re ready we’ll come and get you but I need you stay calm. For nine days Chaise was in intensive care; he had a right collapse lung and a severe brain injury.

His condition was he couldn’t walk, talk, he had a feeding tube because he couldn’t eat and he was also blind.  Finally he got passed that. Thank the Lord. They transferred him to the Neurology Rehab floor.

I was with him many days and nights waiting on a good report, but things seem hopeless, the doctors had done all that they could do. But I kept hoping and praying that my son would come back to me. All I could do was put it all in God’s hands and let his will be done.

Then one day there was laughter and it filled the whole room. It was Chaise he was laughing in spite of his condition; for the first time he spoke with laughter. His laughter gave me so much hope.

Can some good come out of a bad situation? After being in the hospital for a month and half he was discharged. With many prayers, Chaise started walking, talking eating on his own and he was blind but now his is able to see. And as for me I was blind and now I see that God is amazing and I will forever give him praise and thanks (2Corinthians 5:7).
