“font-family: Verdana;”>One morning at work a co-worker told me about a young man who committed suicide. This really saddened my spirit because this was the second time in a two-day span that I heard of men taking their own lives.

As I sat there watching the children in the room who were waiting to speak with the counselors concerning attacks upon their lives, I began to reflect back with regard to the enemy and his plan of attack on the next generation.
“font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-fareast-font-family:”>In our society today, we are faced with many different spiritual attacks, such as drug abuse, alcoholism, depression and even suicide, just to name a few. The bible clearly informs us that Satan is here to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10) as many as he can, and from what I can see he isn’t going to stop until his mission is complete.Â
“font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-fareast-font-family:”>Christians have become so complacent in their attack on the enemy. So much so that he is killing off our next generation and he doesn’t even have to put up a big fight. We are instructed in the Word of God to fight the good fight of faith (I Tim 6:12).
“font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-fareast-font-family:”>In this microwave society today, we are use to the quick and easy way and it shows in the level of defeat in our lives and the lives of our young people today. We would rather take the approach in II Chron 20:17 which says stand still and see the salvation/deliverance of the Lord as our remedy for fight the devil than fight the battle the way we are instructed to.
“font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-fareast-font-family:”>Our Heavenly Father wants us to allow Him to deliver us, but only after we fight as He has commanded us.Â
“font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-fareast-font-family:”>God has commanded us to teach our young people how they should act and how they should carry themselves (Titus 2:1-8) and He is calling for the older generation to use our weapon of prayer (Eph 6:18) in this spiritual fight to protect the next generation from the enemy.
“font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: Verdana; mso-fareast-font-family:”>Once we do this, then God wants us to stand still and allow Him to deliver our babies from the hand of the enemy. If we don’t start now Satan will continue to sift our young people as wheat (Luke 22:31) and we will continue in this downward spiral of the hopelessness of the next generation.
