Does anyone other than me ever ponder the fact that man has been killing man practically since the beginning of time over the issue of who’s God is right? When did God ever say you had to profess to be a Christian, Muslim, or Jew? God said, “Love Me, the Creator of the world and then love your neighbor as you love yourself.”
Most if not all of us have been so misled and so incredibly blinded by long-held and unchallenged traditions of men that its almost an impossibility to envision us ever getting back to the beginning. Like, “In the Beginning, And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters” We have been so thoroughly beguiled by the spirit of Satan that when the truth does appear, we call it blasphemy due to our programming to think amiss.
Where did we go wrong, and how do we recover and re-establish ourselves to God and reinstate our relationship with Him as individuals and as a nation of chosen people in His plan for Creation?
God told one man to say this:
On May 2, 1870, God created William J. Seymour, a black man, and gave him a vision. In the vision was a purpose and a plan for Seymour to implement to redeem and sanctify sinful and lost humanity. Because of his dedication to the plan and his surrendering to the will of God to fulfill the plan, Seymour went on to become a minister, and an initiator of the Pentecostal religious movement.
Seymour’s interpretation of the road to God consisted of three things.
First, an individual had to repent – a life-changing repentance – with obedience to new-birth. An individual had to become godly sorry for past deeds, thoughts and action and then plead to God for mercy and forgiveness, followed by a conscious daily effort to refrain from sinning again.
According to Seymour, mental faith, which most people practice today and is based on belief, was not and is not sufficient. Further, he claimed that confession to another human being, such as a pastor or cleric, was unnecessary.
Second, an individual had to be baptized in the Holy Spirit.
Third, an individual had to be baptized in water – complete immersion in water.
Seymour’s theory concluded that sprinkling, pouring, head-only immersion, as well as the use of any other substance, was not the way.
If there ever was a time in the history of human civilization that we needed to plead unto God for mercy, the time is now.
Religion can not and will not ever unite the masses. Only repentance, rejuvenation of the Spirit of God, followed by the doctrine of truth will set us free.
