The King’s House, a nondenominational church in St. Louis, will host its annual UNIFY community event, bringing families and neighbors together for an afternoon of entertainment, food and community resources.
The free, family-friendly event is Saturday, Sept. 19, from noon to 4 p.m.
Pastor Gerald Harris said the event is designed in part to create connections among people who may live near one another but rarely have an opportunity to interact.
“Neighbors come and go, and they don’t know each other,” Harris told FOX 2.
The event will feature Christian entertainment, free food, bouncy houses, a gaming truck, go-karts and activities for children and families. Community organizations also will be there to connect attendees with information and resources.
“We’re a family. … We like to come together just to worship God and have fun and enjoy one another in the love of Christ,” Harris said.
Participating partners include the Fathers & Families Support Center and other organizations serving children, women and families throughout the St. Louis area.
The event is open to the public at 4225 Finney Ave. in St. Louis.
