Full-dome visuals will transport guests to the rings of Saturn, the Andromeda Galaxy, exoplanets, and beyond. This show will captivate participants of all-ages.
● The Earth Today: A Changing Planet o Supported by a grant from the American Physical Society and produced by the McDonnell Planetarium, this premiere program turns the traditional “star show” on its head. Visitors have explored the night sky from Earth, looking up at the cosmos, but now we will be able to provide great views of our planet from the vantage points of satellites in orbit. Discover new sights of our beloved planet every time you visit!
● The Little Star That Could 360. o A St. Louis classic returns for the next generation of young cosmic adventurers! This time, new 360-degree visuals take advantage of the McDonnell Planetarium’s entire dome to surround audiences in this timeless story. Learn what makes all stars special and explore the planets of our Solar System in this beloved original production of the Science Center.
Following an extensive technology upgrade, the StarBay now features the first GOTO Chiron III Star Projector installed in the United States alongside the advanced Cosm Digistar visualization system. Together, these technologies blend the beauty and precision of a realistic night sky with stunning 360-degree digital imagery, transporting guests across the cosmos and beyond.
