Girls basketball standout Evelyn Shane of Ursuline Academy has given a commitment to Saint Louis University.
The 6’0” senior forward is entering her fourth year of varsity basketball as one of the top players in the history of the Ursuline program. Shane also had Division I scholarship offers from SIUE, American, Tennessee-Martin, LaSalle, Valparaiso, Incarnate Word and Evansville among several others.
As a junior, Shane averaged 16.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.4 steals and 3.5 blocks in leading the Bears to a 23-5 record and a Class 4 district championship.
In her three years at Ursuline, Shane has scored 1,454 points, grabbed 409 rebounds and blocked 198 shots. The Bears have won 64 games and two district championships during Shane’s career.
Shane played with the Missouri Phenom 17U EYCL team during the summer grassroots season.
