Senior basketball standout Jamison White of East St. Louis has given a commitment to Penn State University.

A 6’8” forward, White made his announcement on his social media accounts on Wednesday. He is the son of former Cardinal Ritter College Prep and Georgetown standout Jahidi White, who spent nine seasons in the National Basketball Association.

White transferred to East St. Louis for his senior season after spending the first three years of his career at Chaminade. White was selected to the St. Louis American “Fab Five” First Team All-Stars after a stellar junior season.

Last season, White averaged a team-high 14.7 points and 8.3 rebounds in leading the Red Devils to a berth in the Missouri Class 6 state championship game. He also averaged 2.2 assists while shooting 35 percent from 3-point range.

During the summer grassroots season, White played for Brad Beal Elite and was a key player on the team’s run to the Nike EYBL Peach Jam Championship.
