Mizzou basketball dropped in the polls Monday after a rough week that included losses to both Kansas State and Kansas. The Tigers (25-4), who entered last week as the No. 3 team in the nation are now ranked No. 7 by the AP and No. 8 by the ESPN/Coaches poll.
The Columbia crew lost for the second time this season to unranked K-State last Tuesday in a 68-78 loss at home. Saturday, they traveled into Lawrence, Ks., possibly for the final time, and blew a 19-point second-half lead versus the Jayhawks (and the officials) to lose 86-87.
Frank Haith’s team will look to bounce back Wednesday night (Feb. 29) versus the Iowa State Cyclones.
