Basketball stars Cameron Biedscheid of Cardinal Ritter College Prep and Taylor Manuel of Incarnate Word Academy were selected Mr. and Ms. Show-Me Basketball by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association.

The annual award is given to the top basketball player in the state of Missouri.

The 6’7” Biedscheid concluded a spectacular career at Ritter by averaging 31.7 points, 9.6 rebounds, 3.4 assits and 2.2 steals to lead the Lions to a 21-8 record and a Class 3 district championship. Biedscheid finished his career with more than 2,000 points.

Manuel was one of the most versatile post players ever to play basketball in the St. Louis metro area. The 6’4” senior averaged 15.6 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.9 blocks and 2.0 steals to lead the Red Knights to a third-place finish in the Missouri Class 5 state tournament. She led Incarnate Word to the state championship as a junior in 2011.

Both players will be headed to the state of Indiana to play collegiate basketball. Biedscheid signed with Notre Dame while Manuel will play at Purdue next season.
