The Cadets have been on a roll with four consecutive victories in the past two weeks at the 6’5″ Sharpe has been the main player in the recent surge.
A smooth junior forward, Sharpe has stepped up his game and has the Cadets currently in first place in the Metro Catholic Conference.
A part-time player as a sophomore, Sharpe has emerged as one of the top players in the MCC this season. For the season, Sharpe is averaging 15.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and nearly two blocks per game. The Cadets have an overall record of 11-7.
In a 67-65 victory at St. Francis Borgia, Sharpe scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half to lead the Cadets to a big road victory. He followed that up with 15 points, seven rebounds and two blocks in a 54-33 victory over Chaminade in MCC play.
Sharpe also had 16 points and nine rebounds in a 55-54 victory over small-school power Cardinal Ritter and 24 points in a 49-44 victory over Vianney last Friday night.
Sharpe is a versatile player who can play all three perimeter positions on the floor. He is a good ball handler and an excellent jump shooter. He is steadily building a solid reputation as one of the top juniors in the St. Louis metropolitan area as well as a prime recruiting target for the Class of 2006.
CBC will be in action tonight when it hosts Gateway Tech 7 p.m.
