The Minnesota Timberwolves scored a decisive 115-70 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night to force a Game 7 in the Western Conference semifinals.
After falling behind 9-2 in the early minutes of the game, the Timberwolves went on a 20-0 run to take control of the game. Minnesota added a 13-0 run in the second quarter to take a 59-40 lead at halftime. The Timberwolves led by as many as 50 points in the game.
The Timberwolves started the series off by winning the first two games in Denver, but the world champion Nuggets stormed back to win three consecutive games.
All-star guard Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 27 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals. Jaden McDaniels had his best game of the series with 21 points while Karl Anthony-Towns had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. NBA MVP Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 22 points.
The seventh and deciding game will take place in Denver on Sunday evening.
