Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of St. Louisan Von Scales, who passed away last week at the age of 58. He was the husband of singer and reality television star Trina Braxton.
Scales was a former basketball standout at De Smet in the mid-1980s. He enjoyed an excellent collegiate career at UMSL, where he was a 1,000-point career scorer. He was part of some great Rivermen teams that advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
