Saint Louis University’s outstanding season reached another level this week as the Billikens entered the Associated Press Top 25 men’s college basketball poll.

The Billikens checked in at No. 24 in this week’s national rankings. It is the first appearance in the Top 25 for the Billikens since the 2020-21 season, where they were ranked as high as No. 22. The Billikens are currently 17-1 and 5-0 in the Atlantic 10 Conference after victories over Fordham and Richmond last week at the Chaifetz Arena. They are tied for the top spot in the A-10 with Dayton and George Mason.

The high-scoring Billikens are one of best offensive teams in all of college basketball. They are currently averaging 91 points a game. They have six players who are currently averaging in double figures. Center Robbie Avila leads the team in scoring at 12.8 points a game. Avila is followed by guard Dion Brown at 11.5 points, guard Amari McCottry at 10.9, guard Trey Green at 10.8, guard Kellen Thames at 10.6 and guard Quentin Jones at 10.4.

The Billikens are on the road this week for a pair of A-10 games. They will face Duquesne on Tuesday night in Pittsburgh at 6 p.m. SLU will then travel to Olean, New York to take on St. Bonaventure on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
