Former John Burroughs basketball standout Sheek Pearson has given a commitment to Saint Louis University.
A 6’11” forward, Pearson entered the NCAA transfer portal after redshirting his freshman season at Marquette University. He decided to return home as he made his official announcement to attend SLU on Friday morning on his social media account.

Pearson was a two-time All-State selection at John Burroughs in 2024 and 2025. In 2024, he helped lead the Bombers to a second-place finish in the Class 4 state championship game. In 2025, he averaged 16 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks a game.
During the summer of 2025, Pearson helped Brad Beal Elite win the Nike Elite Youth Basketball Peach Jam championship, the most prestigious tournament of the summer grassroots season. Shortly thereafter, Pearson committed to Marquette and reclassified into the Class of 2025 to head to Milwaukee.
