The Dream scored a convincing 97-71 victory over the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday night in Game 3 in front of a sellout crowd at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. With the victory, the Dream have taken a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven championship series.
All-Star forward Angel Reese has been leading the charge for the Dream. She continued her dominance on Wednesday with a game-high 21 points and 12 rebounds.
The 6-foot-4 Reese became the first player in WNBA history to record a double-double in each of her first three career Finals games. In Game 2, she had 30 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Dream to a 79-65 victory in San Francisco.
Reese had plenty of support as the Dream placed five players in double figures. Guard Rhyne Howard scored 16 points and had a game-high five steals. Forward Naz Hillmon scored 15 points, including three 3-pointers. Izzy Borlase added 12 points. Guard Jordin Canada scored 10 points and had a game-high eight assists.
Gabby Williams led the Valkyries with 15 points, while Tiffany Hayes and Janelle Salaün came off the bench to score 14 and 13 points, respectively.
The series resumes on Saturday with Game 4 in Atlanta at noon. The game will be televised on 5 On Your Side.
