The Billikens (6-0) have defeated their opponents by an average of 18 points per game. Â Senior forward Brian Conklin and junior guard Kwamain Mitchell have St. Louis hoops heads buzzing about a long-awaited return to the NCAA tournament.
Mizzou nearing the Top 10
Not to be outdone by the Bills, Frank Haith’s Mizzou Tigers have raced to an identical 6-0 mark and are ranked #13 in the nation. Â Mizzou has massacred its opponents by more than 26 points per game, including a 92-53 point bludgeoning of then-18th ranked Cal.
The Tigers are playing great team ball and poised to make noise in their final season in the Big 12 Conference.
Beal hits the big time
Area All-American prep star Bradley Beal had made the seamless transition from prep star to college star.  The Chaminade grad is averaging 17 points and 6.5 rebounds for the 10th ranked Florida Gators (4-1).
Many mock-draft pundits have Beal pegged as a potential lottery pick if he were to declare eligible for the NBA draft after his freshman season.
