Former Wentzville Timberland star Montee Ball scored four touchdowns to lead the Wisconsin Badgers to a 42-39 victory over Michigan State in the inaugural Big Ten Championship Game on Saturday night in Indianapolis.
Ball’s final touchdown came with three minutes and 47 seconds left in the game to give the Badgers the come-from-behind victory. He added to his Big Ten single-season record, which is now at 38 touchdowns. Ball is one touchdown short of the overall record, which was set by former Oklahoma State star Barry Sanders.
For the game, Ball rushed for 137 yards on 27 carries.
As the Big Ten champion, Wisconsin will earn a berth to the Rose Bowl for the second consecutive season. The Badgers will face Pac-12 champion Oregon on Jan. 1 in Pasadena, California.
