The St. Louis Blues are getting a new look that pays homage to familiar landmarks.
On Monday, the club unveiled its Hometown Remix uniform, a special-edition jersey that pulls inspiration from the Gateway Arch, the Mississippi River and the city itself. The design is part of a leaguewide NHL initiative involving all 32 teams. The designs represent the culmination of a two-year collaboration between the Blues, the NHL and Fanatics.
For the first time in franchise history, the Blues will take the ice in black and silver. The jersey also revives elements of the club’s former navy alternate uniform, including an updated version of the circular crest that became a fan favorite during its run from 2008 to 2016.
According to the team, the new design was created as a tribute to the city that gave the franchise its identity.
“The new Hometown Remix sweater developed in conjunction with Fanatics and the NHL gives Blues fans a fresh look with bold design elements that are uniquely St. Louis,” said Brenda Wilbur, St. Louis Blues vice president of brand, retail and creative services.
The black base reflects the waters of the Mississippi River, while the redesigned crest incorporates three wave lines. A wave pattern is embossed into the sleeves, and the hem features a view inspired by standing beneath the Gateway Arch. Even the jersey numbers were designed to echo the monument’s metallic finish.
“Our navy alternate jersey featuring the circular crest and drawstring collar remains a fan favorite,” Wilbur added. “We expect incorporating those elements with a striking new color scheme will make Hometown Remix gear tremendously popular with our fans.”
The Blues will debut the uniform Nov. 17 when they host the Anaheim Ducks at Enterprise Center. The team is scheduled to wear the jerseys 10 times during the 2026-27 season, including nine home games.
League officials said the Hometown Remix initiative was designed to give each organization an opportunity to tell its city’s story through its uniform design.
“Together with Fanatics and our Clubs, we’ve created designs that are rooted in local identity and tell a story about the cities and fans they represent,” said Brian Jennings, NHL senior executive vice president and chief partnerships and club strategy officer.
Don Fillion, Fanatics vice president of creative design, said collaboration with each club was central to the project.
“Hometown Remix represents the most exciting initiative our team has designed and delivered with our partners since we hit the ice with the NHL in 2024,” Fillion said. “What makes this program so special is the collaboration with each club and together leaning into the history, culture, fabric and identity of every city and fan base to make sure these felt as authentic and personal as possible.”
Hometown Remix jerseys, along with accompanying apparel and merchandise, are available now through STL Authentics, NHL Shop and Fanatics retail channels.
