Girls Camp

Sherwood Forest Camp transforms lives through camp experiences. Girls’ Camp is designed to increase independence and improve a child’s decision-making skills. Campers select their activities as individuals and travel to those activities on their own. They participate in overnight trips to deepen their respect for the natural environment. In the 26-day programs, by staying at camp longer, children are given the opportunity to truly develop skills, establish a goal (such as learning how to swim), and then have enough time to actually achieve that goal. Children live in cabin groups of 8 to 10 children with 2 or 3 counselors. We know that maintaining long-term relationships with our campers is critical to helping them to become successful adults. We hope that once a child enters our program they will return to camp year after year.
