NFTE BizCamp
The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship’s (NFTE) mission is to provide programs that inspire young people from low-income communities to stay in school, to recognize business opportunities and plan for successful futures. BizCamp is a two-week, intensive summer program that seeks to provide students with a foundational understanding of business and unlock their entrepreneurial mindset. During the two-weeks, participants will learn about the different components of busiess, meet successful business leaders in our region, take field trips to various innovative locations and write business plans. Our goal is for your camper to become a confident and adventurous explorer of the natural world. Each day we will play games that tune us into on our animal senses, explore outside, and work on a wild challenge like building a den or camouflaging in the woods. Most days will also include time with an animal ambassador and their caretaker such as a pet rabbit, or a ball python. We will peek behind-the-scenes in the wildlife rehabilitation facility, make enrichment for the animals, and visit with animal care volunteers. This camp’s activities are largely outside on our private property; the classroom is air-conditioned. We provide one Earth-friendly snack each day.
