St. Elizabeth Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, located at 11400 Mehl Avenue in Florissant is on the government’s list of the 54 worst performing nursing homes in the nation.
The Center for Medicaid Services released a list of nursing homes today that have been selected as an Special Focus Facility that have failed to make significant progress on the most recent survey.
SFF facilities are nursing homes with a history of serious quality problems. The CMS, together with states visit nursing homes regularly to determine if the facilities provide the quality of care that Medicaid or Medicare requires.
Two other nursing homes in Missouri made the poor performing nursing home list—Senior Estates in Kansas City and the other is West Village Manor in Columbia.
